Re: Workshop Weekend - Nov 9-11
Thu, October 11, 2007 - 7:50 PMThis should be a fun and functional weekend! If we're not covering something that you're interested in learning, just let me know, we'll see about putting it on our agenda. We're hoping to make these a little more frequent (yeah, I know, they're in OH, however, not FAR into Ohio..if you're in Central Eastern Indiana).
Would love to see some of you there!!! If you were at octOHburn, many of the same people will be here for the workshop weekend. FUN!! FUNCTIONAL!!! WOOT!!!

Re: Workshop Weekend - Feb. 1-3
Wed, January 2, 2008 - 9:16 PMJust a little heads up with more info to come.
The next Workshop Weekend will go down on Feb. 1-3, 2008.
Yep. That's right. There's another one. Then, after that one....another. We have an exciting month after month of learning, sharing, and growing all waiting to happen.
So, watch this space (and for those like me in many other spaces....watch those as well) for more information.

Re: Workshop Weekend - Nov 9-11
Sat, January 19, 2008 - 11:15 AMThere are no invitations really to the Workshop Weekend. You see a posting about one and you decide to come out. It's just that easy. heeheehee
The workshops are normally 'given' at a set time, however, it's also VERY loose and we run on burner time, so it's a lot of 'ish'.
I think that we're just gonna have two workshops this time around. First, it's winter and we're all a little on the tired side. Secondly, I'm sure that we'll be up to MORE than just the two workshops.
Here's the WW line-up:
Saturday - 2to4pm - Herbal/Medicinal Teas & Tinctures
Saturday - 5to7pm - Digeridoo
Friday and Sunday do not have a scheduled workshop, however, that doesn't mean that we don't have fun, don't learn new things, etc.
Remember if you have electronics questions Tim is more than happy to help and if you have hoop questions, I'm more than happy to help. If you have a hoop, I'd suggest bringing it along, hoops are always welcome and fun.
Okay...some necessities:
$5 to cover workshop costs
Sleeping bag
*Air mattress
Food and/or drink to share
Ideas
Questions
You can come up Friday (Feb. 1st) after 5pm. Even though we don't have any workshops scheduled on Friday it looks like we're gonna be having a Fimo Friday Party. So bring along some Fimo (Sculptey, Premo, etc), any tools you have, and make something out of Fimo with us. There tends to be SOMEthing going on the whole weekend, even if it's just sitting around and talking. The conversations are nothing if not entertaining. :D
See you all SOON!
* Indicates a non-necessity, however, you may be want it. There will be a lot more space in which to crash this time, as opposed to NYE, plus the music won't be as loud or going on for as long. So that'll help with the sleeping. -

Re: Workshop Weekend - Nov 9-11
Wed, January 23, 2008 - 4:43 PMHere's the new schedule:
Saturday - 2to4pm - Herbal/Medicinal Teas & Tinctures
Saturday - 5to7pm - Glass Bead Making
Saturday - Evening - Digeridoo
Like before, this is a loose schedule. Things can run long or short, but to make sure that you have the time to learn during a workshop I would suggest coming before the time that is listed.
